  • What is the easiest food you gave up?

This is the flip side of another thread (hardest food you gave up) which, when I scanned through it, seems to focus on the wrong side of the coin.

So tell me, what is the food that you gave up that you only ate because it was supposed to be healthy but, truth be known, you never really liked in the first place and are just as happy that you have a perfectly good excuse to never touch the stuff again.

I'll start: Tofu, cooking oil in any recipe, lentils

Beans. Unless they were refried with a lot of cheese, I didn't like them anyways.
Corn off the cob, because the only way corn tastes good in grilled in the husk.
    Canola oil.
"health food" junk food. Take your wheat bran crackers and rice cakes and shove them up your ass sideways. They might get more flavor that way.
Sticks and rocks cereal. See the reasoning for healthy junk food.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

Silk, soy creamer. Pretty much all soy products.

              Beer. Canola Oil.
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

Bran flakes. I actually did kind of like them, but that was partly because I was adding raisins, nuts and honey.

I forgot OATMEAL, I hate that mush and it always left me hungry! Pancakes too, way too sweet and also left me hungry and sort of jittery.

Ill second chicken breast. Flavorless garbage.

Oh also second oatmeal and " brown rice". ....

All three of the above are tasteless and require way too much effort to make good.

Milk. I never much cared for drinking it, so I didn't miss it one bit when I found out I was lactose intolerant. Fresh milk and some fresh cheeses are the only things that trigger my lactose intolerance.

Pasta! It was always a quick 'nutritious' low cost budget meal so I had it 2-3 times a week.......

Diet soda, we always had a ton of it in the house and my dad is still addicted to diet Mt. Dew. Once I broke it though, I can honestly say that I don't care for soda at all anymore. I have had sips here and there but it is sickeningly sweet now and just weird tasting. I drink a lot of iced tea now that it is hot out.
