  • Best Gluten-free websites?

My friend was just diagnosed with celiac disease and I want to give her the BEST possible information for her health...you guys seem to be a fantastic wealth of knowledge! Any really good links to exactly what to eat and what not to eat etc etc

    Thanks!

Elana's Pantry is a good starting point. Gluten-free yes, primal no, but the non-primal ingredients (agave, grapeseed oil) can easily be substituted.

You can use this site and not worry about replacing those grains with gluten free creations. However, I recognize that's not always possible, especially with little ones so there are sites like Elana's pantry which concentrate on a gluten free .lifestyle. Others may have other recommendations.

Well, for friends that I know will not give up grains, I refer them to a couple sites like these:

            http://glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com/
            http://www.glutenfreecookingschool.com/

Both have great info on baking gluten free which is a challenge. But neither are primal. The Gluten Free Girl though tends to cook a lot of fresh local ingredients, so that is a plus....and I think she has a cook book coming out in a few months.

www.celiac.com has a ton of useful information. It definitely helped me when I was first diagnosed.
