  • If I eat eggs and salmon, do I need beef?

I recently tried grass fed ground beef, and I really like it. As far as daily priorities go, is it more important to eat the beef or a serving (1 fillet) of wild caught salmon? Here are some scenarios of what kind of meal plans I can make with my meat/animal products, and I'd like to know which is preferable:
    Breakfast- 3 eggs
Lunch- 3 more eggs or ground beef stir fry
Dinner- salmon fillet or ground beef stir fry

So basically, if I eat 6 eggs a day, as well as a fillet of salmon, is it necessary to add a serving of beef? If so, how much? The grass fed ground beef I get comes in 1 lb packages. How much of a serving should I eat (1/4 lb, 1/2 lb, whole pound, etc.)?

You should really aim for some variety in your diet. 6 eggs and salmon every day is going to get boring very fast.

go for variety. with just salmon and eggs you're missing some b vites and *a lot* of zinc and iron. even with the beef you'll likely need a b complex and some other nutrients via supplement unless you're eating a wide variety of organ meats.

What did you determine your protein needs to be? I find it very helpful to track in dailyburn.com Fitday.com has too many inaccuracies in their database. nutritiondata.com is my favorite but the UI for tracking sucks dirt.

Um, how about eat as much as you want, until you're satisfied? The PB is not about strictly measuring and controlling portions. I'd probably eat about 1/3 to 1/2 pound depending on how hungry I am/what else I have for that meal/how much raw beef I shared with my greyhound-- I could easily eat more but I make myself save a serving for the next meal!
