    I know many of the people in the Primal World already eat lots of wonderful fat, so this should be an easy thing for a lot of you to enjoy.

    I wrote this in my blog because I want to start having one day a week Focused on Fat!...Here is the post...

    If I had my way with the world, I would institute a new weekly celebration to fall on every Friday of every month. This celebration would have people planning picnics, workplace lunch gatherings, and general organization of daily meals to include one main macronutrient...


    Yes, from now on, each Friday is going to be renamed to become Fatty Friday.

    Just what is Fatty Friday?

    Well, it is a celebration that will have people world wide enjoying the wonderful tastes and aromas of naturally fatty foods such as bacon, fish, nuts and avocados. No longer will we see people at work sitting beside you at the lunch table eating a low fat - high sugar yogurt and an apple telling you about how healthy they are eating. Instead, they will be digging into a bowl of heavy cream and nuts, while their colleague will be downing a burger patty topped with cheese.

    Why Fatty Fridays?

    Because I want to enjoy my favorite foods for an entire day without people looking at me as if I have 3 heads and then telling me that my cholesterol is going to increase as I chow down on a bacon and egg sandwich (without the bread of course, and then reach for a can of sardines and a big glass of milk to wash it down...whole fat milk that is.

    How do we participate?

    Plan to eat Naturally Fatty Foods all day long on Fridays then post your comments on my blog. Join a community of Fatty Food Friday Fans and share recipes, stories and bathe in the pleasure of a Friday filled with Fat.

    When does it begin?

    This Friday, May 21, 2010.

    Here is a short list of some of the wonderful foods that can be enjoyed on Fatty fridays...remember, we don't want any of that processed high sugar stuff that will raise your triglycerides and eventually your cholesterol, we want real food that is naturally high in fat that will also have some protein as well...
    • Eggs
    • Bacon
    • Nuts
    • Nut Butter
    • Heavy Cream
    • Whipping Cream
    • Yogurt ( not that low fat sugar filled stuff)
    • Cheese
    • Sardines
    • Avocado
    • Coconut Oil
    • Coconut Milk
    • Coconut Flakes (unsweetened)
    • Ground Beef
    • Ground Pork
    • Hamburger Patties with cheese
    • Whole Milk
    • Salmon
    • Macrel
    • There is more to come, but for now this should get you started.
    Here is an example of what I may eat this Friday:

    Breakfast: Nuts & Heavy Cream (Maybe with a few berries)
    Bacon & Eggs
    Lunch: Sardines

    Dinner: Smoothie with milk, coconut milk, avocado, chia seeds, dulse flakes, and a few frozen berries

    Snack: Steak & Eggs!

      Beef Tounge, I will add that to the list. This will have to be an at work snack as there is no way my wife will go for beef tonge.

        oh my god, i am so in. maybe i'll do steak and eggs. and bacon. and butter balls. ooh, gotta plan!

          Yes! Butter Balls (weren't they called Blue Balls as well?)

          I will add them to the list along with the Coconutty Balls that were featured on MDL a while back.

                        I am sooooo in!!!! I will be eating coconut oil by the tablespoon-full!

                          Fatty Friday is tomorrow everyone! I will be enjoying some bacon and eggs topped with avocado for breakfast, then some heavy cream and nuts with coconut for lunch and sausage for a snack with grass fed burger patties topped with cheese and guacamole.

                          May be a glass of whole milk in there as well.

                            oooh its already friday here for me! I've had bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. I'm going to have a handful of nuts soon, no idea for lunch or dinner though, but I'll make sure it is loaded with fat! Good idea.

                              I'm eating scrambled egg and bacon now. Woman at the uni cafe gave me too much egg and too little bacon. Next time I'll have just bacon and I'll make sure I ask for the fattiest pieces.
