  • The American Parasite

The America Parasite a video about the American parasite in our food that causes use to crave foods that make us fat. You don't have to buy probiotics, just eat olives, sauerkraut, pickles, or fermented food.

Really not a scam but not as glum as the video makes it sound. Candida is a umbrella term for a few strains of intestinal critters that when they are in balance with others are necessary for life. You can't eradicate all the Candida and function. Fairly simple to get in balance, eat Paleo\Primal, get enough rest, take a good Probiotic and only take an anti-biotic if absolutely necessary. I read that carb flu after starting eating Paleo\Primal could be pinned not only in changes in brain chemistry but a massive die off in strains of Candida in the gut and the subsequent toxins as they are digested in the stomach and large intestine. Makes sense to me.

I do buy 100% percent that Big Agra has its dirty mitts in everything, they control the messaging in the media, the government by its colossal lobby effort especially in Midwest states like Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and Indiana. They designed the food pyramid and they keep feeding us their addicting poisons(sugar, grains, trans fats, sugar substitutes)

Makes NONSENSE to me, same as the OP of this thread! And the video I don't even bother wasting my time to watch...

There is always a kernel of truth in everything we encounter. I've watched the video. It isn't nonsense...though it may be a little dramatized.

Is there even any proof "beneficial bacteria"(probiotics) survives in the gut?

This seems to say otherwise, at least in the case of yogurt and these "strains":

Scarce Evidence of Yogurt Lactic Acid Bacteria in Human Feces after Daily Yogurt Consumption by Healthy Volunteers

Probiotics, and its common alternative health buzz "detox", "candida", "toxins", etc seems to set off a particular quackery tone to me every single time.

Okay, the video was super over-dramatic, but Candida is a potential issue people should be aware of and it is real. I don't see what is "nonsense" about it.

I had wondered how these things are supposed to survive our stomach acid.

E-coli and salmonella seem to, though.

Some are more acid-resistant than others. I've never even heard of the strains they used in that study. More common probiotic strains are L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, B. bifidum, and B. longum. Not to mention if bacteria didn't survive digestion, we wouldn't have so much of it in our colon.

There's a lot of fake science and hype around intestinal permeability and endotoxemia from various health and wellness communities (like the all-encompassing "candida"), but it's legitimate science.

Any time you detox from toxic substances (such as heavy metals, fluoride, chlorine, bad intestinal bugs, etc.) you feel worse before you feel better. Candida and other bugs like that not excepted!

Why? Because they must first be mobilized into the blood stream before they can be pissed out, defecated out, sweated out, bound to chelators, or otherwise removed from the body. This is why coriander (cilantro) is so essential to a detox program. It helps bind weakly to these toxins and shunt them into the blood stream. Then, chelation and other detox effects can take over and remove them from the body. But you MUST combine the cilantro with more powerful chelators. If you don't, you will simply mobilize the toxins I to the blood stream where they will eventually deposit elsewhere which can be even worse than where they were deposited to begin with.

Even if you do it properly and use potent chelators such as alpha lipoic acid, chlorella, and boron (specifically great for fluoride) along side your cilantro, you have the issue that they're still in your blood while the chelators are attempting to bond the toxins and shunt them from your body. You feel like shit while the toxins are in your blood! It's a natural response! But then, after some time, you begin to slowly feel better as your body allows the chelators to bind to these toxins and remove them from your body. For this reason. You should take any detox/cheating protocol slowly and do it over a long period of time rather than try to do it all at once. Otherwise, you will be floored with nasty side effects such as migraines, no energy, massive nausea, lack of appetite and even more.

One of the effects of paleo and even primal? Just eating cleaner will begin a detox of your body! This is the issue of why, in my opinion, so many people experience "carb flu." Low carb initially is important to paleo because it will begin the detox. Once you get through the initial "carb flu" symptoms and are at least starting to feel better, then, if you have a specific need or desire to, you can add some healthy starches and fruit sources back into the diet.

I don't think you have to be low carb at all to be paleo or primal but you might want to start out that way to help the initial detox process along and get the crap out of your body.

I can't prove that lactic acid bacteria survive in the gut, but ingesting them certainly seems to have an effect. For example:

Exactly this. Whether it lives or not is a moot point if science can at least point to several beneficial effects upon consumption. It's like saying "oh gelatin doesn't survive in the gut." Maybe not, but does that mean there are no benefits to eating it regardless?
