Does anybody take any type of vitamins while on paleo? And if you do what kind? Which would be the best multivitamin?

      magnesium, d3, k2.

eggs, meat, oogly bits, fish, shellfish, veggies, fruits, full-fat dairy. bone broth.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.

Track your foods in one of the online food track programs and use that as a baseline to see what you might be low on compared to RDA (which I pretty much don't believe, but another topic). I think D3 is the current wonder pill and seems like everyone I know is deficient so I take that, along with magnesium, C, B complex, zinc.

I do take vitamins and minerals! I take: HCL, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Quercetin & Resvertrol. I also take a multivitamin sometimes only because my RDA in most vitamin and mineral areas is far over what's recommended, or so according to the FDA standards... And can those really be trusted?

I take lots of supplements... I'd take a whole lot less if I didn't currently work at a supplement store where I get plenty of free stuff and a good discount.

              As far as vitamins/minerals go...
I take Garden of life's raw vitamin code for men. I also take their zinc.
I take shilajit for fulvic/humic acids and minerals.
I take cell power silica and biosil for silica
I take various juiced greens powders
And while I don't really count them as supplements, I take fermented CLO for A, D, and O3s, and sprinkle kelp powder on some foods for iodine.

And that's just vits+mins, not even getting into aminos or herbal supps, or things like zeaxanthin or astaxanthin (I can't recommend astaxanthin enough btw!)

In a perfect world with a perfect diet grown from perfect soil (and plenty of organ meat) none of these are remotely necessary. But I find they do me good, so...

I take a multi and vitamin D3/K2 regularly.

My multi is Raw 1 for women. Can't say if it's the "best" but it's got a lot of variety packed in, and I don't feel like I'm risking going over on certain vitamins while covering some basics missed from poor soil quality. It's whole food, minimally processed, so I don't really worry about it. I've taken it on and off for about three years.

I'm experimenting with the D/K right now. I took one called Bone Health (D3, K2, calcium, magnesium, C, and zinc) that I liked. Trying GNC brand right now, but my mood and energy are noticeably lower. That always happens this time of year, so next time I'll switch back and see if that helps.

I'm finishing up on some natural supplements or treatment of IBS-c/SIBO. Once I'm done with them, hopefully, I won't take them again. Sometimes I take Emergen-C for electrolytes. Occasionally extra magnesium for digestive issues, but I haven't needed that in a bit. I keep a bottle of melatonin for shift changes, but only use it a couple days every few months.

I don't think supplementation is necessary on a primal diet, but I don't have much in the way of organic options (due to availability and price), and I do notice if I'm not getting higher levels of nutrients. The reliable boost is nice.

Do you or is there another thread for it somewhere?
I'd be interested to read all the differing views.

I recommend people not take a multivitamin.

I take magnesium, D3, and K2. The rest is food.

                              Anyone have recommendations for Mg?
I just started back on Natural Calm (Mg Citrate).
Do you think folks from sunny areas who spend time outdoors need D3?
As far as K2, any feelings about the amount one can get through foods like kefir and cultured veggies? Other sources?
                              Thx!
