I have a ton left over from pre-strict primal days. I use it and don't worry about it too much.

Mark says it is primal... But I think it isn't a whole food.

I use gelatin and egg white too for random stuff.

I have never used it until recently. I find that it does not make me feel good. At first I got a mix of whey protein concentrate and isolate so that appeared to be the reason for the bad gas I was having. So I got whey protein isolate only and I still don't feel very good. I think there are healthier things to eat and unless all this added protein actually helps me in some way, I will discontinue the whey.

I take some straight up, unflavored, unsweetened whey. Do you need it? Are you having trouble hitting your protein needs from real food sources?

On my single work out days I take 1 scoop of a powder called phytoberry made by progressive. It's probably the best kind that I have been able to find so yes I would recommend this product. It's not cheap but if you google it you can see all the goodness is has in store for you On my double work out days I'll add another 70 grams from another cheaper bit still good source. I find it difficult to eat as much as I need to plus I get all the little goodies like BCAA and other aminos that help support my work out regime.

Well, if you must use non-whole powdered processed foods to hit your protein requirements, that's the whey to go. And yeah, I hate myself for that pun.

Take grassfed bones and boil with water salt and vinegar for a long time. I use my rice cooker that is now otherwise underused.
