Hm...chocolate for breakfast. You're giving me ideas.

I'd only be able to do that during non-school days though, since I wouldn't get anything else until late afternoon.

      a) had developed an unhealthy relationship to food, and b) wasn't eating nearly enough, because I was so caught up on trying to shift that last bit of body weight. I conditioned myself to eat far too few calories by getting in a rut with what I ate, I thought if I deviated off the foods I knew worked for me I would gain loads of weight. what has actually happened by having more variety in my diet and eating a bit more food I've lost the weight easily. I know being a student you need to eat quick and easy stuff as you have lots to pack in to your day: studying/socialising
/working, but I reckon if you eat less processed stuff the last few pounds will drop off. Maybe try swapping your hotdogs for a tin of tuna with Mayo, or mackrel fillets, or if you prefer to stick with meat try cooking up some bacon and boiling eggs the night before so you can take them with you the next day in a little airtight so you have them to hand when you're hungry, if eggs aren't your thing try half an avocado! I hope this helps and wish you all the very best!! X
Thanks for the advice but I've been at goal weight (probably below it) for a long time, and never really had anything to lose to begin with. And if by "processed meat" you mean ground-up meat -- should I also stop chewing my food? I certainly wouldn't want to process my food too much...

Glad to hear you feel well eating this little. You don't feel cold or weak? If I could get away with eating that little - imagine the savings! I must now learn more about your eating....how many calories per day? Do you have a weekend feast or other deviation?

I think it comes to around 1200 calories a day, if I'm being generous. I know it's quite low, so I'm looking for places to add a few calories. And yes, I definitely make up for it on weekends! Friday and Saturday are my days to eat out with friends, splurge, and cheat a bit. After that, I'm satisfied and ready to settle back in to primal for a few days.

Great job primalstudent! Ignore the peanut gallery

Hell I ate the same 2-3 meals for months on end and felt absolutely great! No problem in my opinion as long as its the nutrient dense stuff (p.s. "Nutrient dense" is code for MEAT! )
            peanut gallery?
If it's working for you, great. I just get concerned about folks eating too little and thinking is all good because they are losing weight after all.

As for variety, I agree. I tend to eat the same 2 or 3 meals (eg. Eggs for brekkie, canned salmon and veggies for lunch/dinner and a meat curry on veggies for lunch/dinner) for weeks if not months before rotating something else in

So how do you reckon it averages out across a week if you factor in what you eat at the weekends? It sounds like you'll probably be closer to where you want to be anyway.

Interesting. So your macros stay pretty stable, but you calorie cycle?

LOL. Been there, done that, sometimes more than once a day. That's how I gained 10-15 lbs, unfortunately :|

Aww I'm sorry to hear that... Were your overall calories high or was it sugary chocolate?

Well, a mixture of both. I'd go for a week or two of only eating those 100% baking bars by Ghirardelli, feel heavy, and then go back to 70% and not feel as gross. I'd rarely eat anything less than 70%, though; too sweet at that point.

The first time I did this when I was living in Europe and I gained about 10 lbs in a few months. No, I did not pig out on pizze and cannoli either. Literally 1/2-2/3 of my caloric intake was chocolate. Second time I did this was about 2 years ago, and I gained about 5 lbs before stopping.
