    I was looking at a colleague's Alpen light Bar the other day and noticed that it was 30% oligofructose....now if my science is right that's a chain of less than ten fructose molecules joined together. I think the idea is that because it's indigestible except by gut bacteria that it is low calorie. What's the opinion of the venerable and well-read illuminati on MDA forums?

    My opinion... Is anything that says "Light" is likely to be full of crap!
    If your gonna eat Oats, I'd rather have a bowl of Porridge....

      Oh yeah it was full of crap but I am after enlightenment on the effects of oligofructose in particular
