  • Eggs and LDL

Should eggs be avoided if you have borderline high LDL?

  • #2
No. Dietary cholesterol has minimal impact on blood cholesterol levels - your liver synthesises most of your cholesterol. Also LDL is unimportant. HDL and Trigs are important. How are they?
Four years Primal with influences from Jaminet & Shanahan and a focus on being anti-inflammatory. Using Primal to treat CVD and prevent stents from blocking free of drugs.

Eat creatures nose-to-tail (animal, fowl, fish, crustacea, molluscs), a large variety of vegetables (raw, cooked and fermented, including safe starches), dairy (cheese & yoghurt), occasional fruit, cocoa, turmeric & red wine

Do avoid coconut oil if you're trying to impress with your lipoprotein numbers; it does seem to directly raise LDL in many people. This isn't harmful, but it will scare the crap out of your doctor.

Trigs are 67 and HDL is mid to upper 50s, if I recall. I know the HDL needed improvement. To look at me, you would think I know what I'm doing. Not eating out of a clown's head (McDonalds) or eating anything pronounced the same way in any language as served me well except for cholesterol numbers for some reason. Getting it dialed in though. Thanks.
