I guess it depends on the person and the smoothie then! You can absolutely make a smoothie full of calories and too much of everything. But it 100% does not have to be like that!! If you pay attention to what you're putting in it, and what it all totals to, then you'll be fine. Make sure you have plenty of protein in it.
I think how soon you get hungry also depends on what you put in it. Just like everything else, there isn't just one way. The ones I make keep me feeling good from breakfast at 8am till noon.
Just pay attention to what you put in it and find out what makes it up---how many carbs, protein, fat, etc
