  • What is this?

I purchased this at a Dominican market in my neighborhood. When I cut into it, it was slimy. It didn't have a label. I figured it was some variety of yam or something.

It tastes ok. I thought maybe it would be taro, but the skin is edible and not hard / barky. I'm not sure what it is. Anyone have an idea?

We can't see it until it gets approved. Maybe upload it to tinypic or something.

I think that's visible now. The inside is whitish and has a couple of dark flecks near the edges.

Probably taro. Taro can be smooth, too, especially when slightly processed (the skin can be rubbed thin).

Perfection is entirely individual. Any philosophy or pursuit that encourages individuality has merit in that it frees people. Any that encourages shackles only has merit in that it shows you how wrong and desperate the human mind can get in its pursuit of truth.

        I'd apologize, but...
