I would like to know also. How extreme are people in avoiding excess PUFA?

I keep it under 10g a day, some days under 2.

Does a day (or a few days) of too much PUFA after restricting for a while ruin the progress of repair?

Depends on the person and their metabolism. If you are liberating fats all week and then have a calorie heavy meal loaded in PUFA then the body will most likely store that fat. The key is to slowly rid your body of PUFA by slowly reducing bodyfat and cycling out poly in favor of saturated/mono.

Hmm, yesterday I ate 7 eggs. Comes to about 4.9g poly. Is that extreme? Not sure...I think that's a good number and it's rare that I will eat over 3 eggs.

I gave up the olive oil and nuts about 3-4 years ago, can't remember why exactly but it was before I read Peat. Maybe it was because they taste like death and I finally realised that. Otherwise I can't think of one thing I eat with excess poly's. No chicken, no pork...These thing's have curiously lost their appeal now.

I avoid it like the plague.
I don't eat chicken, pork or eggs at all.

I love chicken. I cook it in butter or beef dripping. Free range organic chicken has to be OK - I bet hunter gatherers ate a lot of feathered food!

Not avoiding. Pounding chicken and bacon like never before. CRP is low, no sign of inflammation, so N=1, this concept is bunk.

I didn't say that, only that I no longer guzzle it down like they're going out of fashion. I cannot find naturally fed chickens where I am. Were they to eat bugs, worms, insects etc, then I would be more inclined to eat them because I like Chicken.

I bet they did. I also bet their chickens ate what they were supposed to.

Don't fool yourselves into thinking free range organic means a thing. You have to know what they are eating.

Lol about the olive oil. I don't like it either, except when in Italy.
