  • Primal Egg Coffee

I have pretty much given up coffee a few months ago (and I really only started drinking it when I found Primal then BP coffee) but now I may rethink that. I haven't read this all yet, but the idea is interesting.

if you have the time and desire to wait for coffee.

i make eggnoggs with eggs coconut mild and heavy cream, spike to taste ( cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, clove, etc)

that is easy and i dont need to worry about tempering my egg

I saw this in my email this morning. I am trying version 1 tomorrow. I may still add my MTC oil, but not sure yet.

I remember even the BP guy saying once that adding a yolk will help emulsification (not sure about if it was also in replacement of butter)

The idea of raw eggs just never appealed to me. (but I do like eggnogg though, so I guess I must like them)

So after working outside for 2.5 hours, I decided to try one. I had one egg, with some choc. protein powder, banana, little cooked steel cut oats (might have to whip me on that one but I like them once in awhile) 1/3 cup coconut milk and mixed it in my bullet, then added 2/3 cup coffee with pinch of cinnamon. Nom Nom Nom.

When I went through an "I'm not eating eggs," phase in my early teens, my parents did something like this. Except instead of blending it, they made me a small cup of sweet light coffee and floated the egg on top. They got me to eat the egg (just one big swallow), I got to feel "grown up" getting to drink coffee.

Egg yolk coffee looks good to me. Though butter coffee may be the second most wonderful thing I've learned on these forums.

I'm definitely gonna give it a go. I shoot raw egg yolks frequently anyhow. Sooooo good (IMO).

I'm thinking unflavored gelatin in hot cocoa would give it nice body, too.

I make that, except I put it in the fridge to chill and solidify. If tomorrow the weather is cooler, I'll have it hot.
