    Hey everyone,

    Just started up on Primal eating again and trying to stick to it. I'm also starting crossfit and I've been drinking protein shakes as a supplement. I usually use 1 scoop of Isopure Natural Chocolate, almond milk, 1 banana and ice (simple but pretty good). Just wanted to see what everyone else is using in their shakes so feel free to put in your take

    I haven't had one in a very long time, but I used to mix in a blender - protein powder, coconut milk, sweetener (optional) ice cubes and frozen strawberries.

      scoop vanilla protein powder
      banana
      ice

        I like to add some cinnamon to my double choc shake. I have also on occasion added a bit of hot chilli powder or drops which gives my choccy shake a real kick especially for breakfast - ker-boom!!

          Has anyone ever tried using anything like spinach, kale, chia seeds, or cacao nibs? And what whey protein powders did you guys find most effective? And preferably good tasting lol.

            plain whey isolate, raw eggs, chocolate ice cream, milk, stick blender.

              I use egg whites instead of protein powder:

              Sweet Shake:

              1 frozen banana, frozen cranberries or rhubarb, 1/2 -3/4 c egg whites, a touch of cinnamon, lemon juice and stevia

              Savory Shake:

              mini cucumber (~ 2inches of a long inglish one), a stalk of celery, ~ 3-4 tbsp of tomato paste, hot pepper slice, cilantro, spinach, sea salt and 1/2 to 3/4 c egg white.

              2 cans of tuna, 1/2 to 3/4 c egg white, horseradish, lime or lemon juice

                  Homemade coconut milk kefir, chia seeds, raw kale, whey, creatine, L-glutamine and frozen berries.
