    I cannot find a clear cut answer and my nurse is saying no, but from the research i have done i think yes!
    Please help

    That is a good question! I would like to hear from some Type 1's that go VLC.

    My seventeen year old daughter is type 1 and we are experimenting with lower carbs. Overall, being Low Carb has made keeping decent bg numbers easier. The strange thing is that she will sometimes have a high bg even after eating zero carbs. As we all know, protein is converted to glucose as needed. I guess that is what is happening.
    Some of you may die, but that is a risk I'm willing to take.

        I too have been having high bg even yesterday wen i had 18g carbs i woke up and my bg was 17.6!!!! its crazy frustrating lol but thats what being a diabetic is all about......random frustrating times!!

        My nurse was trying to tell me i should have more carbs and get my carb counting right it was a very frustrating conversation especially when i was telling her overall my bg is perfect
