Is smoking the peace pipe occassionally with your "tribe" considered primal?

I wasn't going to touch this one - but seeking altered states of concious is and always has been a human compulsion.

Ha ha! Why did God provide us with this plant? (Yes I said GOD! ;-)

I don't believe smoking anything is good for you.

I guess you could argue that it's potentially bad because people who do that are likely to associate with people who have other vices and blah blah blah. But honestly, legality aside, i don't think it's a big deal if done very infrequently. The trouble is a lot of people make it a regular thing.

Diana - the question was whether it was primal or not, not whether it was good for you ;o)

There's a lot of things that are fun that aren't good for us - drinking alcohol, for example )

To tempt us? How about the poppy plant?

Knock yourself out Arthur, it's both primal and natural.

Anyone want to start a thread about primal brownie recipes?

Yeah, I think the thing that would push me past my 'Primal' lifestyle are the sugar-munchies!!!

Freshbaked- that being the case, I don't think it's Primal either, just like alcohol.

Sorry, but I have no respect for the "habit." I find it vulgar and disgusting.

There's a lot more vulgar and disgusting things out there than a little peace pipe now and again... I think that description is a tad dramatic.

                              Maybe so, Arthurb999, but that's how I feel. :P
