I've never been a big soda drinker but we recently bought seltzer because hubby wanted something other than water and water kefir. I just mixed it with some fresh mint leaves, lemon and also lime juice. Made a jar with cucumber and mint too to steep overnight. Thanks all, these were inspiring. The mint/lemon/lime is quite refreshing.

Just did this using 1 date because I don't currently have stevia, and I'm letting it sit for a bit.

Alton Brown has a super simple recipe for making your own ginger ale. Just make a simple syrup (we used honey from our hive), fresh ginger, yeast, water. Allow to ferment for a couple of days and it is nice and fizzy.

Home carbonator like Sodastream is handy. Adding 1/4 tsp of brewing salts per liter makes it extremely fizzy. Sometimes I'll add a squeezed grapefruit or tangelo wedge.
