And that's why I'm here eating HFLC Primal/Paleo.

Here is more elaboration from Chris Kresser on this point brought up by cori and Damiana:
The fish vs. fish oil smackdown

He did several other posts on fish oil and basically recommends that most people just eat oily fish a couple times a week. If you need a therapeutic dose, the only fish oil he recommends is Green Pasture fermented cod liver oil.

I know in years past Robb Wolf recommended mega-doses of fish oil and had a link to some calculator that told people to take like 10+g of DHA+EPA per DAY or something similarly crazy. He has since revised his recommendations (may have changed from this post even, which is from 2011): Fish Oil

One salient point made in both posts: You can't "negate" excess linoleic acid in the diet by ingesting more EPA/DHA. You should have low-ish intake of both. So don't go too crazy on the nuts.

Too much fish will give you mercury poisoning.

+1, and if you are really concerned there are lists you can look up of fish to avoid. If you stick to fish lower on the food chain it is very safe.

Part of changing to this way of eating means believing in nutritional, well raised foods. From some of your posts, it doesn't seem like you want to replace bad foods with good ones, but that you want to replace bad foods with supplements. That's fine if it works for you, but it doesn't seem very primal/paleo.

If you're worried about mercury poisoning, eat smaller fish. The pink salmon, while not as fatty and prized as the king salmon, only grows to about three or four pounds. Herring are also smaller type fish.

Good luck finding organic and "good food" in Cyprus, Mexico, Hong Kong and Cuba, the last four countries I've been to.
