  • Mead Acid - The home grown PUFA, is it as good as the EFA PUFA's?

    I just read some things regarding Mead acid, an endogenous omega 9 PUFA, seems to act as a back up when the EFA PUFA's are low, makes me wonder how much EFA Omega 6 & Omega 3 we really need.
    Seems that when in short supply we conserve them very effectively and even have a partial back up in the Omega 9, so are we really talking trace quantities of O6 & O3 as an actual essential requirement?

    Wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this?

      Worrying about EFAs and PUFAs isn't my style...
