    Have you tried "steak fries" in the oven? All it takes is the potato wedges (I peel mine) tossed with sea salt, chili powder and only a little bit of olive oil or whatever your fat of choice may be. I roast them on parchment paper. Very easy and good.

      I have done the same with sweet potatoes to great effect. I added a little lemon juice though.
      The above should be viewed as complete and utter nonsense.

        Steak fries is one thing I ought to try out - sounds pretty easy. Have you tried par boiling them first? I imagine this would be tasty results!
