  • Recommend a smoothie

    I eat bacon and eggs or an omelet each morning and it's getting old. I'd like to mix it up some days with a high fat, low carb smoothie as a breakfast substitute. What's in your morning smoothie?

    1/2 banana, 1 cup berries, protein powder, coconut milk and coconut oil and bee pollen. 42 g carbs but mmmmm good. Its too hot here to do bacon and eggs in the summer. makes about 16 ounces

        I like berries in my smoothies, so I generally only drink them after exercise or around dinner time. Mine are pretty simple:

        - coconut milk kefir
        - raw spinach
        - raw kale
        - frozen berries from Costco (Blackberries, Rasberries, Blueberries)

        I've started adding:

        - protein powder
        - L-Glutamine
        - Creatine

        If this is after more intense exercise I'll also add a banana.

        I use a Vitamix too really disintegrate the spinach and kale until I get a green liquid - then I add the berries.

          I don't do smoothies on the regular, but I came up with a couple slightly unconventional but completely awesome ones...

          2 strips bacon, fried
          1 large banana
          1/4c. almond butter
          1c. milk (I had vanilla almond milk in the fridge)
          1Tbsp. maple syrup
          A good dash of cinnamon
          A few ice cubes

          2 strips bacon, fried
          1/4c. almond butter
          1c. milk
          2 medjool dates, pitted
          drizzle of balsamic vinegar
          splash of vanilla

          Mouth. Watering.

          Edit: Should be obvious, but fry the bacon first.

            Lean Body Chocolate with a banana and a cup of blueberries and a couple of ice cubes. Simple, works for me, along with a 3 day a week fast total body workout.
