No lunch. I went out for a walk at 12:30. My return was delayed by a series of events, and I just decided to eat a large, slightly early supper. 6 egg yolks, sunny-side up, 16oz tri-tip, pat of butter.

          I don't feel stuffed.

I ate it all! There wasn't any steak left for my boyfriend, either, though he was happy with a bacon burger steak on rice.

Sorry if these are repeats - I haven't read everything.

You mentioned eating too much week 1 - what were your calories then, what did you adjust to?

What will you do when this month is over? Do you think you'll be able to maintain the fat loss? Will you just go back to eating primal or do you think you'll have to maintain some sort of "altered" eating to maintain the fat loss?

Enjoying reading these threads... they seem so tempting but I just can't imagine giving up vegetables

I was eating about 2500 calories a day. I felt stuffed all evening and then couldn't sleep. My goal is to eat between 1250 calories and 1500 calories, but no more than 1800 on carb day. Or if I feel like it.

What will you do when this month is over?
I may keep going on this for another month, or I may take a week off and eat other things in between.

Do you think you'll be able to maintain the fat loss?
                  Yes, I do.

I have been losing weight since last June. At this point I have lost 58 pounds, which is down 73 from my all-time high. This is just another experimental phase of that program.

I certainly wouldn't describe what I've been doing the last few weeks as "giving up vegetables".

I'm pretty sure that when you average out the vegetables and fruit I have been consuming on carb day, it's a lot more than most people out there are eating. Studies show it's a very atypical person who consistently eats up to recommendations.

Canuck416 was talking about eating liver, so I pulled out 12oz of liver that was in the freezer, thawed it, and cooked it.

Good idea. I think I'll start thawing some liver this evening. Maybe some heart, too... Is heart steak?
I'm a weak man...If I give myself a few feet of leeway, I burst through all of my prohibitions.

Culinarily speaking, it would be a stretch. But if liver counts nutritionally, why not heart?

I was too low in fat. Had to have some dessert.

Ha Ha...Love your dessert! Think I'll try some tonight.

Since this is a Paleo version of Steak and Eggs then using all Beef parts as an option once a week or so is fine. We are kind of making up rules as we go

That is butter, sliced right from the Kerrygold stick.
