EDIT: Damn yes, this is an ab-quest!

My steak and eggs isn't exactly the traditional, but I do expect the same results simply based on the macros being very, very close. I'll be rotating through various red meats, and will likely have at least duck eggs if not quail at some point. For my Sunday carb-up I'll be using lots of fruit and berries like blueberries, mango, kiwi, apples and possibly other foods.

Day #1, 4-29-13 Monday morning, after work, before bed.

Ate the last of my kerrygold dubliner cheese (four ounces-ish) so it won't get moldy before the month goes by. Today's "steak" is actually a mixed container of leftover meats. About 1/2 pound ground beef and chicken heart cooked in tallow and seasoned, then four pastured chicken eggs also in tallow. Here's my tummy on day one, I can see the water on top of that lazy four-pack from all the mangoes I've been eating! That should flush out pretty quickly.

Food tracking will ensue here, and workouts, and photos at random, when I can notice change or once a week-ish.

Yesterday I did my usual circuit of pull-ups, push-ups and squatting bilateral free-weight curls. Going to push it harder next time.

Should add I'll also be supplementing potassium and magnesium and vitamin D, with probable molasses on Sundays.

Woke up, had 8 hours sleep. 4-29-13

Four eggs and seven grass-fed hotdogs in tallow, 1700-ish calories. Will hit the gym hard after work, about 6:30 AM.

Haha, now I don't feel so bad any more; I ate four eggs and six sausages for breakfast/lunch. I had planned to eat some of them and keep the others for later, but I ended up finishing them

            Ha ha. Justified!

I woke up after sleeping today 4-30-13 and was NOT hungry. But since I'm not following PB, I'm following steak and eggs, I made six eggs and ate 7 oz. kippered herring and made up for the missing calories with coconut milk in my coffee. Going from eating about once a day to twice a day will definitely take more than a day or two to adapt to! Still rolling, though.

This will get easier next week when I've bought groceries that consist entirely of steak and eggs.

                  Awesome!

EDIT: Forgot to post my workout! Let's see, it would still be THIS morning at 6:00. I did lots of dumbbell crawls with good form to exhaustion, then chin-ups (set of 15, later 10, then 8) immediately after the crawls, and then pushups after each set of chin-up before resting briefly and repeating.

                  Lolz, slept 10 hours today...

Also, thick pee again. Either all the byproducts of digestion, or simply water dumping or both, I'm not sure. But much water is clearly a MUST when eating this way. Thankfully I've done this before and know this, as well as electrolyte supplementation. Using lots of salt on my meat, and taking that mag and K religiously, until I know I'm done with the flushing phase...

Also, I remember that drinking a little kombucha really enhanced my digestion of meat (stools from firm to slightly soft) once upon a time. Since the idea is to maximize protein intake, I MIGHT start taking tiny amounts of kombucha (high-acid homebrew) with my meals...thoughts?

Alright, work is done. Hitting the gym, going to work on - gasp - legs. I've been OD'ing on the magnesium, so cross your fingers for me and pray it will prevent the cramps I'm dreading.

Good luck! Yeah, I think the kombucha is a good call.

I took the gym light. Loaded the bar with 100 pounds and squatted a set of four, then a set of three, and called it good. No death cramps for me. And my legs look awesome anyway, lol.

Ate .6 pounds of steak and four eggs when I got home, and ten tiny slices of bacon at work post-workout. Taking a swig of kombucha now!

I had 8 ounces of roast tri-tip, 3 hard-boiled egg yolks, and a couple of tablespoons of butter for lunch. Trying to cut back on the meat a little, especially in the evening. Supper will be smaller. The tri-tip roast is gone, and tonight will be ribeye, if we don't go out to eat. Last night my boyfriend wanted to go out for pizza. That place has a gluten-free pizza, but no. Tonight we could find a place that would make me a steak if he wants.

There is a major shortage of restaurants around here that serve steak and eggs.
