  • Eating more fat worked, until it didn't

Initial loss eating more fat, but then a bit of a gain and nothing more. Anyone else gain eating more fat. Why?

what kind of time-frame here? a month? a year?

    age/gender/meds?

how much did you lose? gain? how long since you lost?

what do you actually eat? exercise? can't find my crystal ball to answer these questions myself.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.

Yeah, primal is not an open invitation to eat all the fat you want. It's very possible to gain. What are you eating?

5' 3", 130 lbs. ate low carb primal for 2 years. Increased fat and lowered protein in January. Lost 4 lbs. kept diet the same, gained it back. Not sure why it worked initially, then I just migrated back to the same weight.

Why did you lower your protein?

What was your protein before you lowered it, and what did you lower it to? How many calories were you eating before and during the experiment?

Similar to which part of your experience? Lots of people have ended up eating too much when they eat more fat, because it's easy to eat too much fat.

Doesn't seem to be the experience of those on the eat moar fat thread. Just wondering if anyone else tried it and it didn't work.

I wouldn't be concern with the weight gain unless the weight gain is fat and not muscle. It could be more muscle.

That 4lbs lost and gained was probably water.

What doesn't seem to be the experience of those on the eat moar fat thread? The people on those threads went in depth about what they tried. You haven't told us what you did. This is not a psychic forum.

Did you limit yourself to the original eat moar fat thread, or have you read the follow-up threads?

Kind of reminds me of when I was teaching. You'd explain something, and there were always kids who would say, "I don't get it." Um, what was the question?

Take a body fat percentage test. Body composition is more important than weight.

Trust intuition. If you think you're eating too much fat you probably are. Replace with more lean protein, veg + fruit.
