  • Oh Beer, How I Have Missed Thee...

I made pork chops with kraut and apples and potatoes and bacon last night. I used a bottle of Titan Hades that I had left over from awhile back.

I just couldn't resist a beer with this meal, so I had a La Fin Du Monde with my meal.

Yep, I miss beer with meals like this. German type food is made for beer, and its my favorite ethnic food.

Beer will throw me off track, but it sure was good last night, both as a cooking ingredient and a beverage!

It is. I'm also fond of Spaten Optimator and Paulaner Oktoberfest. The Hades and Yeti are nice too.

I cooked with beer last week. I boiled some brats in beer for a while before throwing them on the grill. The only beer we had was the Bud Lite my boyfriend's roommate drinks, but it was still delicious. It made the whole house smell good too. I agree, German food and beer are a match made in heaven.

I live in Alabama, and it's interesting that some Southern staples such as fried pork chops, cabbage, fried taters and decadent desserts seem "German-like".

I can tolerate Mexican, but the simplicity and richness of German food is awesome.

As "20"s go, a good beer every once in awhile isn't the worst thing.

Who says back fat is a bad thing? Maybe on a hairy guy at the beach, but not on a crab.

              I like.

Hell, I'm gonna ditch the Primal Fuel, buy more GF butter and use the savings on quality beer.

More GF butter + quality beer = Bullet proof beer?

(I like bullet proof Mexicans and Russians (add tequila or vodka to regular bullet proof coffee))

As a former beer(Good Beer) drinker, there are some excellent gluten frees on the market now. I have them from time to time, and quite enjoy them

No offense, but the idea of gluten free beer is like non alcoholic beer to me.

Until La Fin Du Monde or Spaten comes in gluten free, I must cheat.

Oh man, there is a local beer made from Sorghum. Smoothest beer I have yet to taste just behind Guinness... You gotta try it, dude. I had my doubts too...

Nothing like a gluten-free beer after mowing the lawn.
