And I didn't read either article. I'm not going to waste my time reading anything that states, "BLANK causes cancer." I've read enough untruthful crap disguised as 'science' to last me a lifetime.
    No offense at all,

Just so rare you get to see a troll that shoots themselves down so deftly in the opening post.

I think that the OP is more confused than trolling.

They only have 7 posts, so I'm guessing that they are new to this whole 'the food that corporations are selling us isn't designed to be healthy" epiphany that is old hat for us jaded forum denizens.
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

        You may actually be right,
I checked other posts and sounds more like a confused newbie.

        To Vibe,
Take this as an education on trolling encounters and please have a good read of the links before you post them.

Me response is that the idea that red meat causes cancer is not even logical. It is a ridiculous assertion.

There is plenty about meat that is bad. Usually it is overcooked which causes a lot of AGE's. unless its completely pastured on chemical free grass and water, the meat will have toxins. Also meat is high in certain inflammatory aminos which if overeaten can be a problem, as well as over consuming protein and PUFA. Lastly an excess of iron is also problematic.

As you can see, there are plenty of potential negatives having to do with meat alone. Thats not to say that meat is bad, just over consumption and especially eating a lot of conventionally produced meat.

Oh, and you remember the link that you yourself provided in your first post. You know, the one that you edited this morning? It did a fine job of debunking these flawed studies.

You aren't very good at this trolling stuff.

Most of those red meat causes whatever studies lump red meat in with processed meat. No doubt that bologna and hot dogs are bad for you, but steak is not bad for you. Also, consider that the government and doctors have been telling people not to eat steak so the people who try to be healthy are avoiding it, getting exercise, eating more vegetables and washing their hands often. The kinds of people who tend to ignore health advice tend to drink, smoke, not get exercise and otherwise don't follow any health advice.

The OP himself used her as a source, and then he removed it again. Believe me, I don't read the Huff, I was just pointing out the OP's inconsistencies. He is a troll, and he sucks at it.

They are also lying and telling researchers what they think they ought to be eating, rather than what they actually are eating. It completely throws off a study when the participants make up their actual intake.

Now you are really getting sus.

Editing your entire opening post, spent a bit of time doing that, did you actually read any of the studies posted or are you just throwing about headlines, not worth wasting our time on.

Why don't you read those studies and go out and find a controlled study that only uses red meat as a variable and tell us what the outcomes of that study are.
