Also, it's not at all "too cold to be outside." I lived in PA and hiked out in the snow all the time -- even after the biggest snow storms. I still like to go to wintery places when I can and do a few hikes in the snow. It's pleasant.
    Yep this

Well, I think I've made it clear that I don't MEAN to eat this little, but I cannot force myself to eat when I am not hungry.

Very basically what happens on a low carb/low calorie diet.

Body uses fat and lean mass to make up calories
            Body lowers metabolism and thyroid
            Hunger grows until you binge
Body replenishes fat stores but not metabolism or lean mass
You feel horrible about binging, and cycle starts over at a lower metabolism and lbm.
            Vicious cycle ensues.

This is a documented fact. Im not saying that a short term calorie restriction will make this happen but give it long enough... Also vitamin/mineral deficiencies will happen. You simple cant get enough on 1000 calories, go ahead and type in your diet to a site like nutritiondata.com, you will not hit most RDA's.

As for not being hungry. That is a common side effect of a very low carb diet. I recommend doing a refeed of carbs at least once a week to keep above from happening and also keep your body from losing its ability to process carbs efficiently.

Zach, that is not a documented fact.
Hunger grows and we eat more. The OP already says she eats when hungry. Stop talking garbage.
Your idea would be true if you IGNORED hunger.

                  The RDAs, are CW bullshit.
You CAN get in enough nutrition at that many calories.
                  Please go away now.

Um Zach did this person even say she ate no carbs at all anyway?
                    I don't remember reading this.
Even so if she feels fine, which she said she did, then where is the problem.

Do you truly think that if you are deficient in something, that your body would not start to feel unwell, or that your hunger would not increase?
Not being hungry is because of eating sufficient fat, and it keeping you satisfied for longer.

It is all absolutely true. And RDA's are bullshit? Right, i guess deficiencies are a myth as well. Funny you giving advice when you are in her situation and have had no success.

Im not even giving non-primal advice, do you always have to badger me?

                        No success?
Yes I have, I just got impatient because it wasn't happening fast enough, but I am over that now.

                        Answer my question.
Do you believe that if their was a deficiency that our bodies would not have a symptom of something?
ie a headache just as a random example?

Why would a person feel 100% well if something was missing?

This is all an experiment anyway.
If something doesn't work then you change it.
You will get mixed opinions on here every time you ask anything, so you just have to decide what is best for you

Um... I'm confused. Call it my "noob" showing... but if you aren't primal, and don't believe in primal, and prefer conventional wisdom, why are you here? I really don't mean to be rude. JUST curious. Seriously.

I think we all wonder that.
Oh I remember now, LC didn't work for him, so he has made it his mission in life to tell everyone they are doing the wrong thing.

To help. This place is overrun with ill informed, metabolically deranged, carbophobes. People like Ayla will do anything to drag others down so they have a bigger support group.

                                Good luck to you.
