Thanks, you could be right, j3nn--i've thought of that. It seems to "like" protein better than carbs, even veggie carbs: i get hungry when i eat them. I'm assuming my body is simply "healing" from years of grain-abuse!
Anyway, i don't want to steal OP's question--but just a thought for her to consider...

You may not do well I that in between carb area. Getting enough carbs to keep you a sugar burner, but not enough to fuel your day.

        Sandra - I'm in Australia - so it's summer
Kata - don't know what's normal, but this one is made with a mixture of rice flour, amaranth flour, and all the other replacements, and all the unfood extras that make it stick together like Gluten. (Much more crap than a nice wheat sourdough organic pizza base that is made locally, but unfortunately I am completely intolerant and probably an undiagnosed Coeliac, so I avoid gluten completely).
Yeah, lifestyle is taxing to say the least. I suppose I expected an improvement so many months after weaning the boys, and I also started feeling tired since low carbing.
My reasons for low carb count are really vain LOL I'm impatient and I want to lose weight.
I am actually only 65kg (145lb) and 167cm , so I'm certainly not huge, but I just have some baby weight I want to shift.
So maybe I need to take it a bit slower with the low carbs. I know more exercise would help, but it's so hard to find the time.
I have done a couple of sprint sessions, just running after a kid the other day got me started on that, he was heading for the road, and had a good start on me, so I bolted. made me realise that it feels great to run really fast now and then LOL
So maybe I'm being a bit extreme...?

ETA: wow that moved fast, I missed the second page. I appreciated the hijack of the OP, it sent the discussion in a meatier direction
Ok, so I am subconsciously trying to lose weight faster than is healthy I think, without doing the exercise bit, because I'm busy.
I used to do long 45 min walks with the pram at least 4 x a week (they won't get in it anymore because they are "big kids"), that's one box ticked, and I also ran after kids probably on average every 7-10 days, next box ticked, so yeah, I think my exercise might be the issue. I need to stop trying to starve myself subconsciously to make up for the absence of the other PB laws.
I'm hungry now, but I am holding off because I am trying to do IF.
        All an exploration I guess?
Thanks so much for the support.

She has 4 kids and a business. I think she isn't tired, just lazy But it's still worth checking if something else is going on and probably adding some carbs.

Nah, just got tested for it, I'll let you know if it comes back positive.
BUT - I have some news. I tried the protein thing as it just felt right, I ate 2 lamb shanks for brekkie, then bacon and chicken (eaten in the garden grabbing salad as I went )
then roast beef, plus a protein shake earlier,
and just more, and it was better. much better,
I'll keep on it, and see what happens.
                thank you !!!

Aylaway- I was hoping for an update on how your feeling and what changes you made. I've been PB since Jan. 6, needing to lose about 20lbs. I'm soooooo tired though. I'm fine through out the morning until about 3pm then I hit a wall and I'm just exhausted and can't wait for bed. I'd love to hear how your doing and the changes you made! Thanks.
