    Right. FODMAP-intolerant folks like me would be in deep pain on any "diet" like this. You already mentioned how many folks are FODMAP-intolerant in your post on the resistant starches thread:

    About 30–40% of people in Central Europe suffer from fructose malabsorption.[15] ... excess dietary intake may lead to minor side effects, such as increased flatulence and loose stools in those with fructose malabsorption.[16] It is recommended that fructan intake for people with fructose malabsorption be kept to less than 0.5 grams/serving.[16
    Some/many of us here likely have Central European ancestry.
