  • You know..I had a day of the trots when I switched to liquid coconut oil for a couple of doses. I didn't blame it on the CO because I use it in so many dishes. I switched to ELOO with zero problems. The mtc oil should be here tomorrow or Monday. I may switch slowly over to the mtc.

    • Oooh, Janie, I woulda been ALL OVER that pound cake!

And I wouldn't have stopped either. So win for you!

MCT oil gave me The Works two days in a row, but not today - YET.

In half an hour I'm going to take another 15g and see what THAT does.

But like I said, going to the bathroom a few or 7 times in a row doesn't
bother me in the slightest, so there's that.. for me...

Finally got hungry at 3:30 for "breakfast and lunch", so I ate. Still only
      635 cals so far.

      Good times.

Sorry about the MCT oil ruining you, heatseeker. That bites for sure.

      • Hey! I am a bit fascinated by this sld and have decided to give it a whirl. What would you recommend as the oil of choice for this? I was thinking CO, just the ease of transporting it, no spills. But more interested in efficacy.

According to the book, different oils work differently on people. CO is a good choice. So is ELOO, refined walnut oil and MCT oil. If your oil has a flavor, just plug your nose until the taste fades.

          • Today was Day 5. Coffee with tbsp CO this morning. Worked out at noon for an hour. Not hungry afterwards so had 2 tbsp shot of CO at 2. 3:30 finally felt hungry so had 1/2 lb steak with butter. Nearing 8pm now...not hungry at all.

                  • Hey there, been out and about socialising for the last couple of days, as long as I avoid the wine (which I did) the oil really takes care of everything else, I don't feel the to over eat, I can look at the food and fancy it, or just have a small amount and feel really satisfied. This is really good, food during social occasions were always hard to manage in the past, but drinking the oil is freeing as you ladies say.

                      • ()$*@)%$*%$()

Finished 5 days of oil. Weighed myself this morning just out of curiosity and the fact the "fair" is in town. New lady in my life coming up for the weekend, so I know I'll eat bad.

Worked my butt off this week with work outs ie walks for a couple of hours in a day, 1 hour swimming, 1 hour biking (daily) and 2 work outs on Bowflex..........gained a pound LMAO......added a 1/2 an inch on my waist...lost an inch on my neck and ? Hips I think...it'll show up on my sig.

God what do I have to do to get this weight to go?

According to MFP, everyday I got the "if you ate like this day, you would be 171 in 5 weeks" (or similar)

                        Geeeeeeeezuzzzzzzzzz

                        Lipo?

                          I get it. Been there.

                          I can only say:

Relax. Really. I know it is hard but you don't do yourself any favors by stressing. Sometimes weighing and measuring (and expecting results to show up quickly) can only make you feel frustrated.

Sometimes, for some of us, losing takes a long time. It was that way for me. My loss looks big but it took a couple of years to accomplish. The point is that I got to my goal and you can too. Eat well. Focus on improving your health.

You do a lot of exercise. It could account for a gain in muscle increase and water retention. Why so much?

                          • Oh -- and why do you "know you will eat bad"? How about knowing you will make good choices? I found that when I gave myself permission to eat bad, it would take me a week or sometimes more to lose what I gained back from a day of bad eating. I got to the point where I decided it wasn't worth it.

                              • Ez2cy, I agree with Janie. Sometimes cutting back on the exercise, ditching the scale and not stressing helps greatly with weightloss. Your body is thinking WTF..I am NOT going to release this weight for fear of starving with all this activity and hormonal imbalance with all the stress.
