Abs - how do you get in 10 miles of walking a day? I wish I could do that... even when I get to walk to the hospital that is only 4 roundtrip... and that seems like a lot
Well, I walk back and forth to school with my kids twice a day (drop off and pick up),
and then I take an hour walk every day as well.
THEN if I get a call from my part time dog walking job, that could be another 1.5hr
walk, and depending on how FREAKING CRAZY he is, determines how FAST I'll be
walking, and it adds up fast.
I'm taking him out today for 1.5 hours and that could be 6 miles just right there if
he's focused and doesn't do a lot of stupid sniffing.
I also take a few "neighborhood walks" with my kids, maybe three a day, and our loop
is one mile.
So there you go!
p.s. i'm a stay at home mom, so i have lots of time
to do whatever i want, WHENever I want. if i worked,
it would be a whole nuther story....
p.s.s. also, walking makes me REALLY happy, like, stupidly
happy. I don't know why, but if I'm having a shit ass day, or
I'm super cranky, I'll go do a neighborhood walk and come back
another person. Swear it. Even my husband says to me, when
i'm being a bitch "wow, um, you should go take a walk!". So I
do. Yanno, after punching him in the crotch...
i heare you, unchatenfrance, and my thought is that if you are closer to your goal weight, your body does not have as much fat to draw on. maybe that means it wants you to eat more than 800 cals, because it cant make up the extra 800 with your own body stores? i have AS, but i still seem to need 1800-2000 cals per day. and FWIW, i havent lost weight yet - and its been 6 weeks.
I'm at around 25%bf. I haven't been able to drop it in yeeeeaaaars. My body seems to really like where it is, although I could easily drop 5 lbs and still have plenty of essential stores. I lost the 3.3 lbs I gained over the holidays pretty much overnight when I first started SLD, but now nothing.
5-10 grams of carbs a day...? What are you guys eating? Nothing but meat and fat?
I'd be curious to see a 1200 calorie day menu. I eat that by lunch time.
Ok, here's an example...I IF from supper time until lunch the next day, here is one of my days: Lunch: burger patty with sauteed onions and mushrooms Supper: 2 pieces of cod fried in coconut oil with coconut milk,mayo and curry sauce served with 2-3 cups of pak choi or spinach . I also have a tbsp. of MCT in the morning and in the afternoon.
And you really aren't hungry...? I IF on weekends a lot until 1 or 2 just because I'm too lazy to workout early... but I'll eat a 800 calorie "breakfast" and then a 1000 calorie dinner on top of the oil. I don't know... maybe I'm too conditioned for this amount of food and I could eat less? Can you eat this way forever or is this a big drop for you? Clearly we are all different but I read about all the women (mostly) eating 1200 calories a day and I just can't imagine it. I'd gnaw off my arm. And then eat chocolate.
