• Confused on Vegies

I've read Marks chapter on vegies and I'm still confused. Should I eat more green leafy or more root vegies or and equal amont, as measured in oz's?

I've found I need to eat one root vegie in the evening or I have trouble going to sleep.

Just eat vegies. As many as you like within any carb limit you set yourself

And relax. This shouldn't be stressful

Eat creatures nose-to-tail (animal, fowl, fish, crustacea, molluscs), a large variety of vegetables (raw, cooked and fermented, including safe starches), dairy (cheese & yoghurt), occasional fruit, cocoa, turmeric & red wine

Primal does not = low carb. Root veggies are not the devil. If you need them for *your* optimal health (which includes a good night's sleep) then eat them.

      Potatoes are awesome.

Vegetables are delicious and should not be limited in your diet

Well, potatoes are really heavy and green leafies are really light, so if you went ounce for ounce on them you'd end up eating a LOT of green leafies. I think in general it probably works well to go unlimited on any green leafy and have one (sweet) potato at dinner (or half if it's really big). Start there and adjust as needed. Many people will tell you not to limit potatoes, but if you are like me and spent a lifetime thinking corn and potatoes were veggies and chard and spinach were only for rare occasions, it's probably good to limit potatoes until your tastes change.
