    How many times do you rinse the rice before cooking? The more thoroughly you rinse the less "sticky" it'll be.

      You don't need to add butter or anything to make good rice. Just use a good ratio of rice to water depending on the cultivar. And don't bother with American rice. Yuck yuck yuck. Jasmine or Japanese short grain is the way to go. Make sure the rice is fresh too, and newly harvested.
