  • Beef Liver...trans fat?

I was curiously looking up the nutritional value of beef liver, since I like it greatly, although I do miss the nice, crispy breading, and I read on a few sites that beef liver contains trans fat. I looked around for further information, but I couldn't find anything in my quick, cursory look to substantiate this claim. Does anyone know of the validity of this information?

Natural trans fats from meat and dairy are not the often maligned trans fats that severely damage health. The bad trans fats are artificially hydrogenated fats. Natural trans fats are not harmful and I believe that most if not all of the trans fat in beef liver is CLA, conjugated linoleic acid which is a powerful antioxidant and anti-cancer agent, amongst other benefits.

Stabby is correct. The more of that stuff you can get, the better.
