    • BTW my posts on here about not going too low calorie are informational only and my opinion to boot. I know that some people have found that around 1000 cals is what works for them. I just don't want any newbies to jump right in on low calorie, low carb.

I hope that I have not offended anyone.

      • Hey, Paula... you CAN change the name of the thread. I went into the very first post of my journal and clicked Edit, then Go Advanced. There is where you can change the name of the title. I only know this b/c I thought about changing the name of my journal once upon a time.

Ideas for heartburn besides tums and such. I am at school and have very little at my disposal. I am also stuck at school as the car was dropped off in the shop this morning.
I used to chew gum when I had heartburn. It worked, odd but true! I think because it stimulated digestive acid and I was low on that due to excessive Tums and baking soda consumption - I'd slam that stuff down because I was still eating wheat and not realising that I was intolerant.

No offense here.......... we all have our own individual caloric needs and I respect that. I'm also 5'3" with a small-medium build - so I need less than a person of higher stature and larger frame might need. Or, more than someone like my hubbies youngest who is 5'2" and a very small frame. She eats like a bird!

            • So there is the reason I am glad I am on the taller side and definitely a large frame. I come from farmer stock!

              • My breakdown for the day is this:

                Total calories: 1411
                total fat grams: 127
                Total protein: 62
                Total carbs: 13

I couldn't tell you percentages. This is what MFP gives me.

                  Fat: 81.0%
                  Protein: 17.6%
                  Carbs: 3.7%

That adds up to 102.3%, so something is not right within MFP, but it's close enough.

                  • I don't really worry about the percentages cause if I hit or come very close to my macro goals, I hit the percentages.

That's kind of how I look at it. Besides, I'm terrible at math so the less math I have to do, the better.

                      • Here's a question. When doing LHT, do you find it more difficult to lift heavy weights or just as easy? At times, I feel like I'm having a difficult time lifting 3 pound dumbbells. I used to be able to lift 15-20 pounds with ease. Do you think its the low amount of carbs eaten?

                        • This is sort of off topic, but I was thinking of making the cream cheese clouds with orange so they'd be like orange creamsicles, but I have no idea how to do it. Would I just add orange juice or is there some kind of orange extract I can buy?

I might need to do some tweaking with my calories because I can't seem to get above the 90g fat mark unless I go over on protein. I guess I could drink more tea with coconut oil, but I'm already drinking 4 cups of it and it's getting boring.

Also, just a quick question about exercise, does anyone here change how they eat on exercise days? I don't LHT or anything quite yet, but I do bodyrock.tv or zcut (HIIT workouts) 5 days a week and on the workout days it seems like I'm starving all day and want to eat nothing but potatoes o_O

They make orange extract. Also, try adding orange zest as well. Orange juice would almost like adding pure sugar

I was going to suggest orange juice instead of sweetener. But I would juice the orange myself and add orange zest.

boiling said orange juice could concentrate it too, for more orange flavor while keeping the cream cheese consistency.
