The other thing I noticed in giving up dairy- I didn't think of it in my earlier post - is I no longer wake up with 'sleep' in my eyes. At least thats what I call it - you know when you wake up and you rub your eyes and you have little dried crusties in the corners. When I gave up dairy, this no longer happened. I still occasionally eat cheese. If I do it 4 or so days in a row, the crusties come back.
