  • Don't we have a "dinner pictures" thread?

Post 'em up, because Grok probably didn't read very well, he probably would have liked picture better (I couldn't think of anything better to say). If for nothing else, for ideas when planning upcoming meals. Feel free to elaborate however.

Tonight I had fresh polish sausage from my local market and mashed cauliflower (my first time - better than mashed potatoes!)

Being from Poland that sausage does not look right....

When frying...... cut horizontal lines into the sausage on both sides..... not too deep.

That will allow the fat to come out and make the sausage more moist.......

As now it looks dried out.......

        Oceanlogic,

Thank you for the tip. I'll try that. Usually I grill my sausage (typically bratwurst - I'm from Wisconsin), so the grill usually splits the sausage for me. Made this one on the stove (nasty weather for grilling last night). It was a little dry now that I think of it. Thanks again.

Update (sorry about my crappy camera phone):

This is the last of my Polish Sausage. I didn't eat it every day, but damn near. That's just kind of how I operate (in streaks). I had it with a huge portion of mashed sweet potatoes because I'm fueling up for a race on Saturday. I mostly fuel up 2 nights prior, vs. the night before like so many other runners/triathletes do (unwisely).

What has everyone else been eating?
