  • high cholesterol?

so I am coming up on the 1 year mark since I went primal and about 6 months ago I donated blood, my cholestrol came back at 199. I was happy because, well thruthfully I was kind of worries and my cholesterol had been above 200 last time I had gone for a check up which was 2 years ago. I just got some bloodwork done yesterday and got my results. My cholesterol is at 215, doc says its normal, however, Im not so sure. Isn't over 200 too much? What should I do primaly to get it under control?

    Thanks!

Your total cholesterol level does not give any reason to worry. Firstly, cholesterol tests have a variance of +/-35 mg/dl. So your cholesterol has remained very stable actually. You don't need to start thinking about it until your TC is over 270 or so. That is the range that indicates that there may possibly be some underlying pathology causing the elevation. Check out Chris Kresser's posts for more info (Google Chris Kresser cholesterol).
