  • marathon breakfast?

    Anyone got any ideas on a great high perfomance breakfast? I have a friend that's going to run another marathon and usually does so on an empty stomach. What would be the main nutritional concerns? High protien? Higher then usual carbs? Any help would be great. Thanks.

    I found that a larabar got me through a half marathon, so I bet 2 or 3 would do it for your friend, then eat something really solid later on after the race.

      I would say to experiment during training runs to see if something works better than no breakfast. The event is not the time to experiment.
