  • Recreational Drug Use. Body/Weight Effects?

Marks has many posts about alcohol, but I am interested in how other substances affect one's body and weight. Including:

Other recreational drugs you know of I am also interesting in finding out about.

MDMA speeds up metabolism and suppresses the appetite.

Cannabis - it depends on the strain. The sativa strains take you up so I can imagine they would increase metabolism. Indica strains have a sedative effect, so they prob slow the metabolism. And of course, some varieties of cannabis really give people the munchies

LSD - not sure about weight, but pretty sure it effects the pituitary gland directly.
"I think the basic anti-aging diet is also the best diet for prevention and treatment of diabetes, scleroderma, and the various "connective tissue diseases." This would emphasize high protein, low unsaturated fats, low iron, and high antioxidant consumption, with a moderate or low starch consumption.

In practice, this means that a major part of the diet should be milk, cheese, eggs, shellfish, fruits and coconut oil, with vitamin E and salt as the safest supplements."

Amphetamines- speed up the metabolism, suppress appetite, screw you up long term. You will lose weight and then regain and then some after stopping. And it will seem like your body can make fat out of thin air.
