Thinly sliced arm roast, seasoned and grilled (we were out of steak), sweet bicolor corn on the cob (yeah you heard me), and a big ass salad with bell peppers, carrots, crimini mushrooms, cucumbers, and greens from the garden.

Big homeschool-organization day at the Crabbcakes household, so dinner was simple:

beef-beef heart burgers, plain green salad, sauteed mushrooms, water to drink.

Third (daughter) was so hungry she ate 8 (eight) burgers plus the sides, Second ate 6, Fourth ate 3 and First ate 4... good thing I had prepared enough ground beef/ground heart mix to almost fill a restaurant mixing bowl we have.
I have a mantra that I have spouted for years... "If I eat right, I feel right. If I feel right, I exercise right. If I exercise right, I think right. If I think right, I eat right..." Phil-SC

Ok, tonite was a quickie dinner as I skipped lunch , went for a hike & bike ride in the scorching sun, swam my laps earlier than usual this morning before a smallish breakfast, man I was HUNGRY.

1/2 lb of Georgia wild prawns, soaked in lemon juice & fresh cut thyme & basil. Just placed them in boiled water that I took off the stove, to soak in the heat while I made the BAS, with lots veggies, good portion of parmesan grated cheese I bought @ TJ's & extra heirloom 'mater from the garden. Oh yeah, small portion of last night's stewed tomatoes & onions w/ Italian seasonings. Dessert was a green mango w/ sea salt & cayenne powder mixed together & sprinkled over the slices of mango. Ate the whole thing.

Cauliflower rice mixed in with home made lamb stock and season with chilli powder, turmeric, fenugreek, cumin, etc etc.

                        Quick, easy, filling, delicious!

I'm working on tomato sauce made with tomatoes from our garden and italian sausage made from local pastured pork, to go over spagetti squash for dinner tonight. Lunch was leftover ground lamb and eggplant with some local feta and then figs from our tree stuffed with San Andre cheese.

Chowder with fresh clams & cod. Bought some slab bacon from farmer's market, slowly rendered the diced bacon, added onion, bay leaf, butter, S&P until translucent. Poured in clam liquor and liquid from poaching the cod, then diced potatoes. Finished with heavy cream - so yummy the kids wolfed it down and we are having the same tonight. Making a zinfandel of beef tomorrow - so much yum. I eat a lot of bone broth with greens and eggs during the week so weekend decadence makes me happy.

Dessert has just been crushed pineapple or berries lately.

Tonight is bison ribeye night. I have to figure out a side dish. Perhaps something with that bag of kale in the fridge that refuses to go away.
