  • List your favorite product

List your favorite product that you discovered since going primal that the rest of us might not know about. Maybe it substitutes some old non-primal product that you used or just plain good.

    I'll start:

    1) Trader Joe's almond butter with roasted flaxseed (insanely addictive, better than any almond butter I have ever tried)
    2) St. Dalfour no sugar added preserve (sweetened with grape juice), can be bought at Whole Foods, I use it sparingly 1 tsp at a time which keeps me well below my total max carb per day intake

    Stir fried cabbage for breakfast!
Finely shredded and fried in a little olive oil. Just befor serving add some seeds (Sunflower, pumpkin etc.) and a little butter.
Served with Pork sausages and a fried duck egg.....heaven!

If you'd told me about this a year ago I'd have thought you were mad.

Well... it's not a product per se ... but for me, it's pork belly!

coconut oil, vitamins d3, k2, and bone broth.

the latter three have improved my health dramatically.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.

Not the OP, but I grill it. Cut into chops, sprinkle a bit of garlic powder and throw in the grill. I just had it last night and the batch I bought was a bit fattier than usual so I had to finish it inside in the grill pan because it was flaming up so badly. In the future I may roast in the oven first to render a bit of the fat off then finish on the grill. It was damned tasty, though.

Isn't the point of "primal" to avoid "product"? For me, anything that's a "product" is something that's used sparingly and only when necessary.

i guess many people missed the point of my request, I know that the diet should include mostly meat and vegetable, but I still buy "processed products". For example, prosciutto i buy in a package is a "product" but ingredients list only pork and salt so I still consider it primal. There are many processed products out there that I still consider primal based on the ingredients. Another example is sardines in olive oil (processed product obviously, but I consider it primal). I don't go out buying raw sardines and smoking them myself. You get the point.
