  • tracking carbs---PB carb counter book?

I would like to be around 100 grams of carbohydrates per day, but I have no idea how to count them. I would like to get a pocket carb counter book that uses the PB carb count (with no net carbs). Does such a thing exist? There are times when I don't have access to a computer to track carbs. I also don't need a book that has a lot of processed and/or brand name foods in it, as almost all of my carbohydrates come from fruits and vegetables.

Also, once I have the book I'm looking for, how does one go about doing the tracking?

I use Food journal for the Paleo Diet - PaleoTrack to keep track of carbs, calories and etc. If you can't find an actual book, how about starting your own journal and putting in foods as you find their values so that you can then keep your daily record?

As to tracking, write everything in daily, and I do mean everything. It's amazing how much a handful of nuts a day can affect your totals over time if you don't record them.
Why use a sledge hammer to crack a nut when a steam roller is even more effective, and, is fun to drive.

why net? when Mark talks about carbs in his graph is he referring to net? I hadn't thought of that. I am not aiming to lose weight but experimenting with macros so I should go check!

I honestly don't know. I'm just learning about measuring carbohydrates, and I read that somewhere.

atkins does net carbs, but i don't know who else. most trackers you can set preferences, so just set it to "carbs", not "net carbs".

fitday and cronometer both have smartphone apps.
As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.
