  • No grass fed meat, should I take supplement.

When I am home I try to eat grass fed meat and organic or locally grown produce. I am away from home working for a few months and it is impossible to get grass fed meat and near impossible to get organic veggies and fruit where I am. I am able to get meat from a butcher once in awhile but even that is grain fed. Seeing as I am only eating grain fed meat should I be taking an omega 3 supplement?

Can you get wild caught salmon or can you stomach some tinned sardines? If yes, just eat those a couple of times week. If not, I would consider supplementation.

I am sorry but can you explain more about grass fed meat? What is that?

Welcome! I am pretty new here too. At the top of the page there is a "start here" tab. Click on that and spend a couple weeks there. You will be glad you did! Grass fed beef means what it says. The cows graze in a field and eat grass. Sometimes they are supplemented with alfalfa. They are not fed grain to fatten them up like they do to production beef. Grass fed beef has a much better Omega ratio and has relatively high CLA. Good-luck. There is so much to learn. It took me several months to really start getting a comprehensive view of Primal lifestyle. It is hard to let go of CW when it has been drummed into your head for 63 years!
