can i eat beans as part of a low carb diet per primal blueprint

  • #2
It depends on how strict you are feeling.

When I started out it was not on my exclusion list (gotta have my nachos), but as I've gotten a little more into it I don't eat them any more.

I put it in the halfway house that dairy lives in. A bit won't kill you. Just don't plan for it to be an integral part of your diet.
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

Why would you want to when you could eat steak?
Eating primal is not a diet, it is a way of life.

I have recently started re-introducing some beans after 2+ years without. I soak them as recommended by WAPF, and I find they are fine. Good source of some harder to find nutrients. And I LIKE them! But I treat them as foods to have occasionally, by no means staples.
