I don't know of any recipes, but I bought the following for my MIL since she is allergic to dairy: Naked Coconut | Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss/Dairy & Soy Free/The Evolution of Ice Cream . Maybe they sell in your area.

I like my vegans slow-cooked with a nice salad. Never tried them in an ice cream recipe.

Oh, you really should. Though WAPF recommends soaking them first. Otherwise, the whole thing will taste like patchouli.

You could use coconut milk instead of cream/milk in most icecream recipes. You could also blend frozen bananas with cocoa powder, etc to make "ice cream."

Also, maybe someone wants a vegan recipe b/c they are intollerant to dairy and/or eggs.... not b/c they are vegan all together.

Kristen Suzanne's Ultimate Raw Vegan Chocolate Recipes has a couple of ice cream recipes I believe. It's a pretty nifty little book.

bananas and avocados, frozen in slices, which you can then basically whiz together with whatever you want to flavor it.

Frozen bananananananan slices, frozen summer fruits berries and coco powder in the blender makes an awsome fruits of the forest gataux ice-cream style desert, add coconut milk if it's too thick to keep it vegan, or cream for veggi, or lard just to piss off veggie/vegan people

Maybe the OP should have stated 'dairy-free ice cream recipe' b/c that is what I am looking for to make as a treat for my daughter. I've got an ice cream maker and just need some recipes that don't involve any milk/cream.

I have found it possible to substitute lard and water for cream. The ice cream holds its shape better in the sun too. I generally eat tallow now, but I find lard has the better texture for ice cream.
