Do any of you guys have cheat days? I feel bad because I had apple pie today My meal was paleo some smoked beef fajita, sasuage and green beans...

The more you get into this, the more you realize everything is a cheat when judged against the optimal. Forget about it. Move on with your life. Be glad you know that's not an acceptable thing to do every day and be glad you enjoyed it enough to make it worth it this time.

Remember Mark's 80-20 approach. Your apple pie was just part of your 20%. Think of it this way - you ate a little sugar, a little flour, some shortening --- and some wonderfully yummy APPLES! Savour the flavor and move on. Just remember if your trying to lose weight - this kind of treat should be a rare thing - like once a month maybe.

Please no more "cheat" threads. If you obsess over eating apple pie then you are doomed to fail.

Don't stress if you eat something like apple pie. The danger is when you PLAN to cheat. If you plan to cheat you plan to fail.

Is that to me? Ha! No, I just know how my body works. I can't "cheat" and then expect to not want to do so again. Downward spiral. I need to keep it clean and appreciate the good food that I fuel my body with.

I'm a big fat cheating cheater.

And ironically (or not) I've had the healthiest relationship with food that I've had in a long time. Mostly because for once nothing is forbidden. If that means dinner is a chocolate chip cookie (which is was), then so be it.

Don't worry too much, and if you're worried about cheats, maybe you should analyze your relationship with food.

                    I had to.
