  • Coconut oil in a blender?

This might be a weird question. When putting coconut oil or butter in a blender (such as in smoothies or bulletproof coffee) and blending at high speeds does it do anything bad to the oil or butter? Does it break up it in some weird way that would cause harm to the body?

Yes, it causes an imbalance in the atomic structure of the oil. If it becomes too unstable, then it could cause a fusion reaction within the blender.

      Ha!

No, it's fine. The oil melts due to the heat of the blade / friction. It resolidifies upon cooling indicating the oil did not experience much damage.
