  • The Slow Drip Paleo Diet?

WTF!? I was rather disturbed by this article...

The K-E Diet: Brides-to-Be Using Feeding Tubes to Rapidly Shed Pounds - Yahoo!

"The K-E diet, which boasts promises of shedding 20 pounds in 10 days, is an increasingly popular alternative to ordinary calorie-counting programs. The program has dieters inserting a feeding tube into their nose that runs to the stomach. They're fed a constant slow drip of protein and fat, mixed with water, which contains zero carbohydrates and totals 800 calories a day. Body fat is burned off through a process called ketosis, which leaves muscle intact, Dr. Oliver Di Pietro of Bay Harbor Islands, Fla., said"

Except that it's likely made with soy protein and vegetable oil. As I said on the other thread, it's not like it's a grassfed steak and some good butter in that tube.

I saw that! I couldn't help but think "this is a super sexy way to spend the wedding shower and proof that you'll make a GREAT wife!"

It's just so lazy. Kind of begs the question of why they don't just drop the carb count of what they're EATING down to 0. Oh, yeah, because they need someone else to do it for them. This is disturbing in more ways than one.

Wow and here i thought it was a joke about that K-E Diet. That is gross. CW people always look for the quick fix instead of trying to look at the reality of it all to try and actually help themselves. I never deluded myself to think that anything like that could be the answer. I really feel bad for people that believe that way cause in all actuality they are causing more harm to their bodies.

Sometimes I wish it were that simple. Just hook me up and give me what I need, rather than me having to think about it.
